Why I Can't Wait for an Alcohol-Free 2025
It dawned on me last night that 2025 will without a doubt be the first year of my adult life completely alcohol-free. What!!!! 🥰
I got it almost perfect in 2024…
I made the decision to release alcohol from my life in March, but had 2 “data points” aka slips since then, and I’m really proud of the progress I’ve made. (Most people who quit drinking have several “day ones!”)
Getting it perfect from the first “day one” is unrealistic when quitting a highly addictive substance after 10, 15 or 20 years of regular use. I don’t say this with the intention of giving anyone permission to have a slip, I’m just speaking my truth.
I began sharing my alcohol story for those feeling stuck where I was - struggling to cut back or moderate alcohol.. sick of their own sh!t. Anxious and finding themself in a confusing, sometimes-there/sometimes-not problematic relationship with their drinking. My heart goes out to you, friend. I was stuck in that purgatory for 5+ years. Hang in there… change is possible. But you have to be willing to make changes. You and only you are in control of your life.
This year I faced some moments that I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. They taught me that we are capable of handling and surviving so much more than we even realize (or give ourselves credit for.) Life will always have challenges, but I can now say for certain that there’s nothing that could happen in 2025 that would make me turn to alcohol. 🙌🏻
Because drinking doesn’t make anything better. It’s just fake, dopamine-spiked pleasure, borrowed from tomorrow’s real happiness. So let’s get to it, shall we?
I can’t wait for an alcohol-free 2025 because I am profoundly excited for an entire year (and beyond) of complete clarity, authentic connections, intentionality, living in alignment, crushing goals, feeling 100% all the time, no hanxiety, no hangovers, no shame/guilt/regret and MORE LIFE… in Full HD.
“Raw dogging life” (as my sober gal pal Anita calls it, lmao) is intense, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Even when it hurts!
Because you simply cannot numb the bad without also numbing the good. Read that again if you need to…
(By the way, I have no judgment towards anyone who drinks. I recognize not everyone has the same experience with alcohol that I had. Everyone should do what works for them.)
If you are sober-curious and ready to take a break, or make a change, let’s chat. I’m here to help you figure it out.
Rooting for you always!

My own personal development journey sparked the inspiration for my online community, The Pink Cloud Collective. Just a few years ago I was unfulfilled, anxious and using wine to cope with life’s challenges. Then one day I decided I had enough.
I got support, did “the work” and learned better life-navigation skills. I can now proudly say that I am confident, alcohol-free and living each day in alignment. For the first time in my life, I truly love myself exactly as I am. It is absolutely possible for you too.
