Hi there, I’m Gretchen

Just a few years ago, I was stuck in a place of unfulfillment. From the outside, my life looked pretty great. I had my own successful graphic design business, a great apartment in New York City, and lovely friendships. But inside my mind, things were a mess.

I was struggling with chatter and constant negative self talk. I had anxiety that ebbed and flowed, but was always present to some degree. My career had once been my greatest passion, yet work was no longer filling my cup. My life felt like it lacked purpose, and I knew deep down that I was meant for more—creatively, spiritually, intellectually, and emotionally.

To top it all off, I was in a toxic relationship… with alcohol! No matter how many rules I made for myself, or how much discipline or will power I tried to apply, I couldn’t get out from under my gray area drinking habit…

My Alcohol Story

I don’t identify as an “alcoholic.” Did you know that word is actually a label, and not a medical diagnosis?!

I have never felt “powerless” against alcohol, or anything for that matter.

But the way I drank and thought about alcohol wasn’t normal. It wasn’t until I heard the term “gray area drinking” that I realized maybe there were others like myself out there…
